At Dimension Dwellings, we believe that every home should be a perfect reflection of the people who live in it.
From custom new homes to remodels, additions, outdoor living spaces, and ADUs, we bring craftsmanship, creativity, and care to every project. Our goal is simple: to make your dream home a reality with precision and passion.
Third Dimension Design, LLC is a residential remodel design company — we are not licensed architects. In residential construction, anyone can design and build their own home, hence the term “Owner/Builder.”
My journey began around 1983 in high school with my shop teacher, Mr. Thomasakis, who introduced me to the art and career of drawing house plans.
This early experience sparked my excitement for design and shaped my vision for the future.
After graduating from Arcadia High, my friend Joe suggested attending the Phoenix Institute of Technology (PIT) to learn CAD drafting — a perfect fit for someone not fond of traditional schooling.
Around 1988, I started at PIT, studying Computer-Aided Design (CAD) during its early development stage.
We learned using AutoCAD version 10, completing a 1.5-year program that earned us an AA degree in Architectural CAD Drafting.
At the time, we only focused on the architectural field, unaware of other technical design paths.
Career Milestones:
Burgett and Associates:
My first job, thanks to Joe, doing electrical drafting.
Learned office work dynamics and meeting deadlines.
TOR Engineering:
Moved to a firm specializing in high-voltage electrical systems and substations.
Gained experience using Microstation, a drafting program similar to AutoCAD but with a different interface.
Worked here for about 1.5 years before an unexpected life event changed everything.
On February 13, 1993, while riding my motorcycle in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico, I hit a large mound on the trail, was thrown over the handlebars, and suffered a severe head injury.
The accident left me in a coma for 7 weeks.
Friends rescued me and arranged for an Air-I-Vac transport across the border for medical care.
Recovery was long — about a year living with my parents, regaining my sense of direction and purpose.
Now, in 2025, I feel fully recovered and more motivated than ever.
This journey has been one of perseverance, focus, and gratitude.
My passion for design and building has evolved, leading to a new chapter.
The business has taken a new direction, focusing more on the craft of building.
Using a unique foam core construction method coated with proprietary concrete, we ensure a solid foundation, walls, and roof — all tested for durability.
This marks our transition into a design/build company, giving rise to a new name and vision:
“David and his team went above and beyond to make our home renovation smooth and stress-free. The 3D design feature helped us visualize every step, and the final result was even better than we imagined.”
